Royal Star & Garter and the Royal British Legion, in partnership with the NHS, are working together on a programme for all care homes nationally to recognise and support the veterans that they care for.
Fun And Moving is a digital rehab, health and wellness platform, striving to make movement for a healthy lifestyle available to everyone, regardless of age, race, income, geography, or current level of fitness.
Cherry Tree, The Farmhouse and The Paddocks are co-located on a site just off Wingletye Lane in Hornchurch. They are care homes that offer residential care for people aged under 65 who are living with learning disabilities; they share the site with a Day Centre and a children’s unit (both outside the remit of Healthwatch).
The facilities were formerly known as the Lilliputs complex (the whole site was once part of a farm known as Lilliputs) but, since the current providers, R G Care Ltd, took them over, they are treated as individual units rather than as a complex. The three homes are individually registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We visited Cherry Tree and the Farmhouse in October 2024 and The Paddocks in January 2025, to find out about the services provided there, and what service users and staff think about it.
[We have now carried out four visits; all of our reports are available below]
We have visited Queen's Hospital on four occasions - in 2016, 2017, 2018 and again in 2024 - to find
out about the meals service provided to patients and what service users and staff think about it.
The reports of all of our visits are available below:
