London Ambulance Service - What you told us

Earlier this year, we joined Healthwatch across London to discover what Londoners thought about the London Ambulance Service (LAS). The LAS commissioned this work as part of the background to developing their five-year Strategic Plan for 2023-2028.

We joined colleagues from most of the Healthwatch in North East London to carry out a survey of patients' views and also held several focus group meetings at which local people were able to tell us in depth what they thought of the LAS and experiences they had had of its services.

In North East London, the LAS operates both the 999 ambulance service and the NHS 111 health advice line service. People told us about their experiences as patients and as passers-by helping people in need of ambulance assistance.

These reports - and others from Healthwatch elsewhere in London - together with other evidence gathered by the LAS have been used to help formulate the Service's five-year strategic plan.

When that plan has been published, we will provide a link to it here.
