We regularly send emails to our Friends Network to keep people updated about changes to local health and social care services and facilities, and to pass on other information and news.

In addition to telling you about our activities, our webiste contain a range of helpful informationa dna advice about how you can maintain your health and wellbeing.

We visited the practice to find out about the services provided there, and what service users and staff think about it.

Cherry Tree, The Farmhouse and The Paddocks are co-located on a site just off Wingletye Lane in Hornchurch. They are care homes that offer residential care for people aged under 65 who are living with learning disabilities; they share the site with a Day Centre and a children’s unit (both outside the remit of Healthwatch).

The facilities were formerly known as the Lilliputs complex (the whole site was once part of a farm known as Lilliputs) but, since the current providers, R G Care Ltd, took them over, they are treated as individual units rather than as a complex. The three homes are individually registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We visited Cherry Tree and The Farmhouse in October 2024 and The Paddocks in January 2025, to find out about the services provided there, and what service users and staff think about it. We carried out a follow-up visit to The Farmhouse in August 2025.

We are funded by the government through Havering Council, but operate completely independently of both.

We carried out an Enter & View visit at Spa Medica Romford in July 2025. Spa Medica is a private hospital offering eye care to NHS patients under contract to NHS North East London.

At this meeting, the Board received information about current activities, concerns and finances.

From December 2023 and throughout 2024, Healthwatch Havering carried out a series of Enter and View visits to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Services at Queen's Hospital, Romford.
