From December 2023 and throughout 2024, Healthwatch Havering carried out a series of Enter and View visits to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Services at Queen's Hospital, Romford.

As part of our plan to visit pharmacies in the borough, we have visited the two Boots branches in Romford Town Centre, in The Brewery and The Liberty shopping precincts.

Our policies and procedures set out how we carry out our activities. These policies describe how we arrange, carry out and report on our Enter &View visits to health and social care facilities.

Transport for London (TfL) are setting up a new bus route, running from Gants Hill, Ilford, to Ferry Lane, Rainham, via Romford Town Centre.

We proposed an alternative route for part of this new service but TfL have now rejected it.

We visit pharmacies to help us to understand what patients think of the facilities available to them and the standard of service offered to them. From 2023, we are also looking at their readiness to provide the extended services sought by the Government.
