Healthwatch Havering welcomes CQC rating of Outstanding for NELFT Brookside Unit


The CQC has rated the Brookside Unit for children and adolescents who have mental health problems as Outstanding. This is a remarkable turnaround for a Unit that, barely 18 months ago, was cconsidered to be Inadequate and was closed; the Unit reopened only in September 2016. The "stong and inspirational leadership" shown by NELFT staff is rightly praised, and the high level of staff satisfaction and pride it the Unit was particularly noted by the CQC.
