Data protection and Freedom of Information

We have reviewed and updated the way we hold personal data as a result of the implementation on 25 May 2018 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you have any concerns about the storage of personal data, please email us at dataprotection@healthwatchhavering.co.uk .

We are subject to both the Data Protection Act/GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act and will willingly deal with requests for information when received (although our website contains comprehensive information about the issues we are dealing with).

Please note that we must reserve the right to reject requests for information relating to individuals or that are otherwise confidential, or where we are not the holder or provider of the information.

Our Privacy Statement is available below, together with our Information Governance Policy and Information Assets Register, and information about our use of cookies.

The National Health Service holds extensive information about people's health, some of which is made available anonymously to research organisations to help with planning for future health needs. Healthwatch Havering has no part in this but if you want to learn more, please click here to go to the NHS Choices website relating to use of confidential patient information.
