Your spotlight on local services

Find services

NHS England is the online 'front door' to the NHS. It is the country's biggest health website and gives all the information you need to make choices about your health.

You can find information about hospitals, GPs and dentists and urgent care. As well as basic contact details, you can also find feedback from other people about what they think about these services.

It's not just limited to NHS information. You can also find information about other services in your area (often provided by charities) that can help you with conditions from Alzheimers through to weight loss.

You can also find out about local services by going to My Health London - find services in Havering

The Care Quality Commission checks all hospitals, dentists, care homes and care services to see if they meet national standards.

You can find out what they have to say about services in Havering by visiting their website.

If you want a blood test, please see the list below of locations in and around Havering where they are offered. Please note that some are open for only limited times and that not all of them offer tests for children.

The Patients Association helpline is the national non-disease specific helpline for anyone trying to navigate the often complex health and social care systems in the UK. The helpline service is free and confidential. The practical information and guidance the helpline gives covers:

-          access to treatments

-          concern about treatments

-          how to make a complaint about any health or social care service

-          social care

-          patient’s rights and responsibilities

-          changing (or finding) your GP or dentist

-          seeing your medical records

The helpline will often signpost callers to other organisations when appropriate.

A call back service is provided for those who call out of hours. The helpline number 020 8423 8999 is open Mon-Fri 9.30am – 5.00pm or they can be emailed at helpline@patients-association.com.
